Booking and Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your fishing trip. Payments can be made securely online via our website or through other approved payment methods.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans can change, so we’ve made our cancellation policy as flexible as possible to give you peace of mind when booking with us.

You can cancel or reschedule your trip free of charge up to 24 hours before departure.
If you cancel within 24 hours of departure, the booking is non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule within 24 hours, a $50 rescheduling fee applies (subject to availability).

If we need to cancel your trip due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances, we’ll do our best to give you as much notice as possible. You’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Minimum Numbers

All charters require a minimum of two paying guests to operate. If this requirement is not met, we will contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Private Charters

To book a private charter (exclusive use of the boat), select the “Private Charter” option at checkout. Private charter bookings allow for flexible scheduling and tailored experiences.

Custom Trips

For customised itineraries, prices and inclusions will be confirmed after consultation. Separate terms may apply depending on trip location and complexity.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are non-refundable but transferable. Extensions may be granted at our discretion.

Weather and Safety

Customer safety is our top priority. We reserve the right to cancel or amend trips due to weather conditions or safety concerns.
If a trip is shortened for safety reasons, a partial refund may be provided at the company’s discretion.

Customers must arrive at the designated meeting point at least 15 minutes before the departure time.
Customers are responsible for the security of personal belongings onboard. Catch a Fish Ltd is not liable for lost or damaged items.

All fishing activities comply with New Zealand fishing regulations, including size and bag limits.
Every guest on the boat is required to have a valid fishing licence. Licences can be purchased as a day pass at checkout or on board if you don’t already have one.
Catch a Fish Ltd reserves the right to terminate fishing activities if regulations, including licence requirements, are not adhered to.
