Meet the Team
Olly Garland – Skipper and Guide
Olly brings over a decade of marine tourism experience to Catch a Fish Ltd., making him one of the most qualified skippers in the region. Originally from Gisborne, Olly holds a Skipper Coastal/Offshore (SCO) certification with a passenger endorsement and a Marine Engineer Class 5 (MEC5) certificate, enabling him to operate beyond restricted limits and access remote fishing locations that others can’t.
Olly’s journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Zoology, fueled by a lifelong love for nature and wildlife. He spent eight years as a dive instructor and skipper on the Great Barrier Reef, leading eco-tours, research vessels, and exploratory trips. With over 2,000 days at sea, his extensive experience ensures that every trip is not only safe but also filled with insights and stories that make the adventure truly unique.

Sanne Keurentjes – Operations and Guest Experience
Sanne manages everything behind the scenes, ensuring that every detail of your trip is perfect. With a Master’s degree in Organizational Science and a background in Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability is at the core of her work. Sanne’s goal is to create unforgettable experiences for guests while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.
